Biography: 

Dr. Alex Ajeh Enuneku is a Doctor of Ecotoxicology in the Department of Environmental Management and Toxicology, University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria. He teaches Ecotoxicology and Pollution Studies in the Faculty of Life Sciences. Dr. Enuneku”s research area focuses mainly on Ecotoxicological Investigations, Pollution Studies, Amphibian Population Declines, Biomarkers, Endocrine Disruption, Risk Assessment, Environmental Forensics, and Geographic Information System (GIS). His over 40 journal research papers and seminar presentations contain research findings on the concentrations of heavy metals, petroleum hydrocarbons, polyaromatic hydrocarbons and drilling fluids in environmental matrices and biota of aquatic ecosystems of the Niger Delta Ecological Zone of Nigeria. Dr. Alex Enuneku has been involved in several Environmental Impact Assessment and Biomonitoring studies offshore with Shell Petroleum Development Company (SNEPCo) and Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited. Dr. Enuneku has won some academic and professional awards and fellowships, notable amongst which are Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) Research Grant (2014), Delta State Government Local Post Graduate Scholarship Award (2010), Symposium fellowship for 6th international Toxicology Symposium in South Africa, 2014 (Japanese Society for the Promotion of Sciences). Dr. Enuneku is a member of several professional Societies amongst which are Nigerian Environmental Society (NES) and Society for Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC).
