Biography: 

Dr. (Mrs) Eki Tina Aisien holds a Ph.D in Environmental and Public Health Microbiology from the University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria. She has taught several courses including introduction to scientific methods, components of the environment 1 and 2, environmental science education, man and the environment, Workshop practices and laboratory management, Global ecology, Restoration ecology and Environmental remediation Soil and aquatic microbiology and Functional biochemistry (Metabolism), both at the college of education, Ekiadolor, Benin and the University of Benin, Nigeria. Dr. Aisien’s research area focuses on Environmental Science Education, environmental pollution studies, waste management and material recycling, bioremediation and phytotechnologies studies. Her over thirty journal articles, conference papers, seminar presentations and chapter in text books contain issues on the above subject areas. She was the former Head, Integrated Science Department, College of Education Ekiadolor – Benin (2006-20014) and Editor in chief, Colben Journal of Science Education (2007-2014). Dr. Aisien is a member of the Nigerian Environmental Society.
